I'm using the same Redis server and database for Bayes and that is
working ok without any errors.

Interesting idea, we run separate incoming and outgoing mail servers,
but they both use the same pool of SA servers... we use a central redis
server for our Bayes, could your plugin be tweaked to use redis too?
