hi all..
i was wondering if i can use the qmail-scanner (with qmailqueue from
SPAMCONTROL) for tagging mail using spamd on smtp level and then on
delivery - using vpopmail - scanning the messages that weren't tagged
using individual vpopmail users preference files..
i guess the biggest problem
hi all...
using qmail/vpopmail.
so far users have individual .spamassassin under their vpopmail
directories using mailfilter to pipe incoming mail trough spamd for each
user. this apparently has the disadvantage of not being able to run per
user sa-learn. and not all users have the mailfilter i

ok. i'll be doing it. but we are using vpopmail with individual
preferences for every user. does that mean that every single user has to

hi all...
last week we had a power outage and our mail sever went down with it. the
spamd performance has been disappointing ever since. crap like "Re:

hi all
increasingly over the last month the filter has letting spam through. some
days is ok - some like last night really bad - i got 60 spam messages. i
have spamd running - nothing has changed. it does get some of the spam
still but crap like this is getting through. and on top of it it

hi all...
i have a sa installed in a vpopmail machine. it works fine and the bayes
seems to be autolearning fine. but there is still some spam that gets
true.
under vpopmail everything is owned by the vpopmail user.
how should i use sa-learn with the existing bayes dbs i have under my

i rebuild the databases as root. with new unmarked spam and new ham. i
used spamassassin as root like:
spamassassin -D --lint test.txt
where test.txt is a spam message i just used with sa-learn. here is what i
get for the bayes:
debug: cannot use bayes on this message; not enough usable tokens f
would it help if build new dbs?
and use those to check if the debug will see the toks?
would that affect the sa learning process somehow?

i get this:
0.000 0 3 0 non-token data: bayes db version
0.000 0 2852 0 non-token data: nspam
0.000 0 2515 0 non-token data: nham

i did feed about 2500 messages into both spam and ham the first time, last

ok.. unfortunately i have to report that for me there isn't much
difference. overnight i got 88 messages in my mailbox. 72 of them were
spam - not detected by sa. in the same
also does the amount of processed messages matter after the initial
feed of more or less the same amounts of spam and ham?
because the spam piles much faster then miscategorized ham...
i'm asking because if i use a script that periodically will process spam
and ham from 2 accounts where they

hi all..
i installed 3.0.2 on new machine. then fed sa-learn with spam and ham -
almost the same amounts. i saw the output - learning from x amount etc...
now i'm trying to find the byaes databases that the sa-learn generated.
