In case you didn't already know, a very alpha version of Tapestry 4.1 has been released.
This release will be spending a lot of time focusing around 3 main items: -) Ajax, of course. -) Tapestry "quircks". -) Better documentation. (These last two really get handled by the more general http://wiki.apache.org/tapestry/Tapestry41WishList. ) Though you don't see a lot of new components yet, I hope people don't think this is all that is coming in 4.1. I've been spending a lot of time laying down the foundation for things, but we've barely gotten started in terms of the new type of components/functionality you'll have at your disposal. Expect a ~lot~ more to come. I think everyone will be very happy with the end result. Tapestry is an open-source framework for creating dynamic, robust, highly scalable web applications in Java. Tapestry complements and builds upon the standard Java Servlet API, and so it works in any servlet container or application server. -- Jesse Kuhnert Tacos/Tapestry, team member/developer Open source based consulting work centered around dojo/tapestry/tacos/hivemind.
