Hi all, This will seem to be an extremely minor problem for most of you, however I have expended numerous hours in research and testing with no success and exhausted all of my ideas (and a few other peoples ideas) for resolution of this issue.
I have an IIS web server running alongside an Apache web server with the Tomcat java engine. The problem I am experiencing is when calling the context path I am forced to use port 8080. I can access the webserver (as expected) using the default port 80 and get content but if I want to call the context path I am forced to use port 8080 or I get a page cannot be displayed. Much research has yielded many documents and I have installed and configured the ISAPI redirector dll along with the extensions configuration and I have green arrows everywhere still with the port 8080 requirement. I have also checked and double checked permissions on the folders, virtual folders and dll and I have access pretty much wide open. I have two servers side by side, seemingly identical setups, one works fine the other has the port 8080 requirement. I have copied all the config files from the working server to the other server with no better results. If I turn off IIS and use just the Apache web server, port 80 works fine. ( I reconfigure IIS for a different port) I have double checked to make sure there are no OS patch differences on these servers but they are identical with the exception of an adobe reader patch on one. (doubtful this has any effect) For reasons I won't bore you with, I need this to appear to work seamlessly on port 80 with IIS. Can anyone offer some insights as to what I might be missing? Bear in mind, if I use port 8080 the system is peachy, performance, access, content etc. no issues. Thanks a lot for your help, Bob. --------------------------------------------------------------------- To start a new topic, e-mail: users@tomcat.apache.org To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED]
