The problem is the same as I'm running into, but I'm not using APR as
you can see by my log trace
INFO: The Apache Portable Runtime which allows optimal performance in
production environments was not found on the java.library.path:
/usr/local/jdk1.5.0_05/jre/lib/i386/server:/usr/local/jdk1.5.0
Take a look at this thread to fix this problem.
