Nope Javascript is enabled.. It seem to work on my other computer using
Ubuntu and Firefox 3.0.5. So mabey it could be an extension causing the
problem?

Both examples work fine for me in ff 3.0.5.
Have you perhaps disabled javascript in ff?

I'll be honest, I've just done a quick comparison between Firefox 3.0.5 and
IE6 using the examples you give and can see no real visual difference,
certainly no difference in behaviour. Would you be able to document any
differences you are seeing?
