With Wicket 1.5 you can use executeUrl() to do that.

Thanks for your answer. Unfortunately for the moment I don't have the
opportunity to upgrade to Wicket 1.5 on this project. Is there a way to
achieve this using Wicket 1.4?
If not, I can live with it, but it would be nice if possible.
