hmm komisch, habe Debian 2.2 und 3.0 im Einsatz; das Modul laesst sich ohne
weiteres einbinden.
mod_mime_magic.so exisitert in /usr/lib/apache/1.3 und wird laut
phpinfo

Hi, such mal in der httpd.conf nach:
IfModule mod_mime_magic.c
MIMEMagicFile conf/magic
/IfModule
...und pass den Pfad zu deinem magic.mime File an.
