*Position: Senior Linux VMware Admin * *Interview: Phone than Face to Face* *Duration: 6 months* *Location: Germantown, MD* Visa: H1B, GC, US Citizen Client is looking for a Senior Linux and Vmware Administrator for Team supporting IT. Job responsibilities include : Ø Provide the Linux System Administration function for the Business Critical Servers. Ø Provide support on the Virtual Linux Vms running on the ESX 5.5 environment. Ø Provision new Linux Vms as per the standards. Ø Provide the performance troubleshooting. Ø Keep the Linux patches unto date. Basic Qualifications Ø Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent work experience in the Linux system administration and VMware field. Ø At least 8 years experience in System Administration of Linux servers (Redhat ). Ø Should have the Red Hat Certifications. Ø Experience in troubleshooting server issues related to systems and applications such as Oracle Database running on Linux. Ø Experience with system patches. Ø Good knowledge of Satellite server and Skywalk. Ø Experience with data center servers including blade servers Cisco UCS, Dell & HP Blade. Ø Knowledge of network and web related protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, HTTP, HTTPS, routing protocols) Ø Good to have Scripting skills (e.g., Perl, Python, shell scripting) Ø Excellent written and verbal communications skills Ø Excellent teamwork skills, result oriented and self motivated.
