Setting up and administering spelunk environments. Design, automate, test and administer an extremely high volume web service serving more than 60.000 sustained requests/second, 24/7 Implement highly automated, self-healing, horizontally scalable deployments of heterogeneous clustered services Strive to implement minimal to zero-downtime production code pushes Requirements: Strong AWS experience across the full breadth of AWS technologies Strong Linux server administration, including low-level system tunables Strong infrastructure automation skills using Chef, including automation testing Experience in developing ad-hoc web services, building and consuming REST APIs Experience in building ad-hoc REST-based dashboards for internal use Experience with Nagios, Graphite, Sensu or similar monitoring/graphing solutions Ability to script in at least two of the following: Shell, Ruby, Python, Erlang/Escript Strong background in cloud-computing technologies (e.g., compute, storage, messaging) Experience in continuous deployment/integration and testing methodologies and fast release cycles Ability to participate in weekly on-call rotations BSc in Computer Science Desirable Qualifications: Experience with Erlang projects is a huge plus Experience with Splunk deployment and usage Large installation (100+ server, multi-site) experience. Familiarity with web deployment frameworks for Python or Ruby.
