Excellent coding and performance tuning skills adhering to established database development standards are critical to succeed in this role. The candidate must have sound communication skills, be able to comprehend business requirements, translate them into technical design specs and apply the same in the development process. We are seeking a highly motivated and responsive team player who is able to multi-task, be a technical lead and work under minimal supervision. Has the potential to grow as a people manager at a later stage. This position will help develop and support applications in the Holdings Hub and warehouse space. *Primary Responsibilities:* - Database Development, primarily in Oracle PL/SQL - ETL development using Informatica - Create Technical specs, Unit test cases, Transition and Op-docs - Serve as technical lead *Education and Experience:* - A Bachelors degree in computer science is highly desirable. Knowledge/ courses done in finance, business, math, or accounting will be a definite advantage. - Minimum of 8 yrs of database development experience required, predominantly in Oracle. Experience in ETL tools like Informatica *Skills and Knowledge:* - Proven experience (min 8 years) in Oracle PL/SQL development. - Experience in ETL tools such as Informatica is a must - Asset management domain experience is strongly preferred - Proficiency in UNIX shell scripting. Perl programming and Autosys job scheduler skills are strongly desired. A working knowledge of programming languages (Java/C++) is a plus. - Experience working in a warehouse environment.
