*JOB SUMMARY*



Responsible for overseeing multiple testing efforts within a program.
Provides technical leadership,



guidance, and support in formulating strategic testing approaches for
programs of high complexity with



one or more development environments.  Communicates progress through
preparing reports and



facilitating meetings with senior management and cross functional teams.
Identifies and communicates



risks associated with test execution, technologies, approaches, and
status.  Serves as a point of



escalation, review and approval for key issues/decisions. Assists in
analyzing and recommending



alternative solutions, methodologies, strategies and tools to solve complex
problems.  Works on



multiple programs/systems as a key project team member. Considered to be a
technical subject matter



expert on one or multiple applications.



*MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES *



Review functional requirements and design specifications to ensure full
understanding of



deliverables and advises the team on improvements.



Interact and consult with business analyst, project managers, and
developers, to understand



applications, requirements and architecture.



Collaborate with management to define and develop technical strategy,
standards, roadmaps



and practices.



Provides leadership to the testing project team for integration, system,
functional, regression,



and performance testing efforts.



Ensure that projects follow the prescribed lifecycle and meet quality
standards.



Assists in analyzing and recommending alternative solutions, methodologies,
strategies and



tools to solve complex problems.



Troubleshoots technical issues that arise during testing.



Escalates technical issues to the appropriate cross functional teams.



Follows up on speedy resolution of technical constraints that may cause a
delay in test



execution.



Identifies and communicates risks associated with test execution,
technologies, approaches, and



status to the project team and Sr. management as appropriate.



Identify potential quality issues per defined process and escalate
immediately to management.



Maintains an overall view of multiple projects tested within in a program.



Assists in managing deployments into test environments.



Assists the test manager in estimating test effort duration and required
number of resources.



Participate in setting up criteria for successful configuration of test
environments.



Hold and facilitate test plan / test case reviews with cross-functional
team members.



Ensure that validated deliverables meet functional and design
specifications and requirements.



Provides support to the Test Lead by assigning tasks to Testers,
troubleshooting, and training.



Guides test data strategy, test data management, test data planning and
execution.



Break down large complex testing efforts into independent or interdependent
overlapping



efforts and drive optimal test schedule.



Communicate and collaborate closely with developers, business analysts and
internal



stakeholders to provide guidance towards resolving issues.



Isolate, replicate, and report defects and verify defect fixes.



Effectively prepare and communicate project status report and management
review reports.



Train team members on the process and systems they support.



Offer creative solutions to complex issues.



Supports test initiatives that are facilitated by non-IT teams (UAT, ORT)
to ensure quality



standards, procedures and methodologies are being followed.



Supports team in tracking, monitoring and approving code releases into test
environments.



*REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS*



Skills/Abilities and Knowledge



 Strong communicator (Written and Verbal): Ability to read, write, speak
and understand English



 Ability to focus on deadlines and deliverables



 Critical thinker, ability to negoiate with key stakeholders and maintain
positive attitude



 Self starter, self motivated, driven individual



 Creative solving of technical problems to ensure the ability to translate
technical requirements



into test plans



 Ability to work well with shifting priorities



 Ability to work with cross-functional team of internal and external
resouces located onshore and



offshore



 10 + years of relevant QA technical experience, system development,
testing, or architecture



 Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC)



 Thorough understanding of test metrics



 Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Visio,
Access, Powerpoint,



Access)



 Display professional, positive, and approachable attitude/demeanor and
discretion



 Strong analysis experience



 Proficent in using HP Quality Center Tools



Education



 BA/BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field or
equivalent work



experience



 Testing Certification ISTQB Advanced Level Technical Test Analyst
(Preferred)



PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in managing teams



Project coordination/Project management experience



Understanding of test automation framework and tools.
