POSITION SUMMARY. Provides technical support and leadership on SAP Basis
systems including establishing standards and requirements, evaluating and
directing enhancements, and implementing solutions for performance
monitoring, and systems configuration, design and implementation. Designs
and develops SAP architecture requirements and specifications to ensure the
system is meeting corporate needs. Requires a bachelor's degree in area of
specialty and at least 7 years of experience in the field or in a related
area. Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and
procedures. Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and
accomplish goals. Performs a variety of tasks. A wide degree of creativity
and latitude is expected.

This Position is responsible for setting SAP landscape strategy.
Additionally this person is responsible for managing staff and ensuring the
effective operation of the systems environment. This entails managing the
database and hardware aspects of SAP and all its peripherals. The key
responsibilities will include: SAP system installations and version
upgrades, management of the Corrections and Transport Systems (CTS) and
Change Management process, support of all aspects of SAP management,
support for the Solution Manager Module, SAP performance, and the
recommendation of tuning changes to enhance performance. This position is
responsible for ensuring maximum system utilization and availability by
performing the following duties:


RESPONSIBILITIES:
* Lead and Define Strategy for the SAP landscape
* Direct the team supporting security and day to day operations
* Technical Design and Implementation for new SAP application functionality
* Perform SAP system monitoring and support
* SAP Security
* Manage setup and administration of SAP print services and queues
* Lead SAP system performance and capacity planning.
* Work with the Global Data Center, technical and functional staff as
needed.
* Take the lead on upgrade and maintenance projects to improve information
on hardware, data transfer, replication, restoration or other necessary
activities.
* Work closely with business application staff to improve process
performance and reliability of production systems.
* Conduct rigorous performance, reliability and capacity testing on new
applications prior to live implementation.
* Establish documenting and monitoring procedures.
* Address system issues. This includes resolving and escalating issues to
the appropriate group on: system performance, system error logs, work
processes, ABAP dumps, workload analysis buffers, database error Logs, etc.
* Implement technologies and processes to automate system monitoring and
performance benchmarking.
* Oversee daily tasks and develop Basis skills of the Operation Technicians
and analyst.
* Training Other Individuals (Basis/Security)
* Maintain disaster recovery documentation.
* Participate in Disaster Recovery Testing.
* Support and investigate change requests to system functionality.
* Research and approve application of OSS note fixes to programs (when
necessary).
* Network monitoring/trouble shooting
* Coordinate technical requirements for special Projects.

THE INDIVIDUAL

EDUCATION:
Minimum - Bachelor's Degree in at least one of the following disciplines:
Computer Sciences, Engineering or Business

EXPERIENCE:
* At least 7 years experience in a technical position.
* Netweaver experience
* Hands-on experience with SAP, BW, Solution Manager
* SQL Server experience
* SAP Security Design and Set Up
* Operating Systems (OS 400, UNIX, Windows a Plus)
* Applicant should posses good written and oral communication skills,
excellent problem resolution skills, must like working in a team
environment and have good interpersonal skills
* WAN and LAN experience a huge plus
* Prior experience on an SAP Implementation team is a huge plus
* Sharepoint experience a plus

self-confidence in taking risks and experimenting with solutions.
