Position: SSRS SSIS Developer Location: Lewisville, TX
This position will be part of the Mortgage Banking Technology data warehouse management team. This position will provide Business Intelligence development in a MS SQL Server environment. The candidate must be a self-starter who is able to work in a fast paced, results driven environment. Required technical skills include at least 5 years’ experience: • Working as an MS SQL developer in Business Intelligence development. • Strong experience and knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server Solutions for BI, SQL Server, Reporting Services (SSRS), Analysis Services (SSAS), Integration Services (SSIS). • Comprehensive data warehouse analysis and design experience, with full knowledge of data warehouse methodologies and data modeling. • Experience working with MDX. • Working knowledge SQL Server security features such as ownership chaining. • Experience working with Visual Studio 2008 BIDS. • Hands on experience on Dimensional Modeling. • Define the business rules and metadata structure for data integration. • Experience with ad-hoc reporting, business dashboard, data visualization, and other tools that are required to make BI results relevant and actionable to the business and business users. • An ability to be a self-motivated, high performance contributor in a rapidly moving business with tight deadlines and imperfect procedures and requirements. • Tight focus on results and self-improvement with a desire to drive our business' analytic capabilities and knowledge forward. Additional Skills: • Self-starter with excellent communication and problem-solving skills • Strong multitasking and prioritizing skills • Attention to detail and ability to work independently • Strong analytical, data management and problem solving skills • Strong written and verbal communication skills • Strong interpersonal and relationship skills • Ability to thrive in a changing work environment Tasks to be performed on a regular basis: • Perform analysis on existing interfaces / databases / programs and write specifications to convert to another format. • work with business and IT report owners to understand how the report Vs created and how data was collected • Perform testing of new development • Write requirements / documentation / tech specs • Problem resolution of production issues on MS SQL database • Perform research on database in response to BAU requests • Help define BI strategies and effectively communicate user requirements. • Develop and implement reports and queries to drive business processes.
