The signs at the Bush IAH  are dual units.  Only place I have seen them in the USA.

The TEXAS DOT is going back to imperial becuase of the contractors complaints that they do not understand metric.

My answer is: Nothing at all. It is in the United States, in which the signs and odometers are in miles. It would be hard to translate the units.
 
Although all of us would rather everything here was SI, it would simply be confusing to provide a foreign visitor with units that didn't correspond to those on the dash of his/her rented car. Of course, it would be much better (and more respectful) if the sign showed both miles and kilometers.
