Hi Brendon,
I went ahead and updated the OOT example repo to be compatible with Vivado
2017.4 and the uhd-fpga "master" branch:

The simulation testbenches now run using uhd-fpga master. Let me know if

I would suggest using Ubuntu 16.04.4 (64-bit), and UHD 3.10.3.0.
Make sure that there is nothing in your BIOS that is forcing the USB port
to operate in USB 2.0 mode.
