while I cannot comment on your kernel code analysis the testcase was definitely
broken since 2008-02-03 - it never PASSed. It should be fixed now.

I use utrace for uprobes work. I have not seen recent utrace patches
against 2.6.25-rc kernels. Patches present in
http://people.redhat.com/roland/utrace/ are 2.6.24 based. I verified
FC9-Alpha kernel, utrace is not enabled on it.
Eventhough FC9-Alpha kernel source contains utrace patche
