Hi,

Let me define the context. We are heavy users of systemtap on OMAP platform on
Ubuntu, Android, ... We would like to get user-space dynamic instrumentation
capability, which requires uprobes/utrace (doing that in the context of
Linaro). This would allow us fully leveraging systemtap capabilities.

So I am interested in this kind of status:
* utrace has not been accepted upstream. Does it mean it may lose traction ? Is
"community" pushing for something else or happy with what they have ?

* is someone on this mailing list using uprobes/utrace on ARM ?

* I have also found IBM presentation on utrace-less uprobes. How does it affect
utrace ?

I will check in parallel with systemtap mailing list.

Regards
Fred

No, that is right. It should now have two new emails in March :)
