I'd pick up a SuperMicro barebones system. Those just require hard
drive, memory, and CPU. If it's a fairly light workload (i.e. a Pentium
II managed it just fine), then you could save money and get a cooler

It runs many services: sshd, apache, asterisk, exim, mpd, jabberd, bind,
samba, etc. I want to build a new server that will be just as stable
and last for the next decade.
