I'd pick up a SuperMicro barebones system. Those just require hard drive, memory, and CPU. If it's a fairly light workload (i.e. a Pentium II managed it just fine), then you could save money and get a cooler running system with one of their Atom processor servers. I have one in production, a

I need to retire my old server of 10 years (a Pentium II 333MHz; I would have replaced it sooner but it just won't die.) It runs many services: sshd, apache, asterisk, exim, mpd, jabberd, bind, samba, etc. I want to build a new server that will be just as stable and last for the next decade. I
