[Vala] cannot create instance of abstract (non-instantiatable) type `GtkBox'

[Vala] auto project automake file templates?

I am not that familiar with autogen and the other tools, but is there a tool to setup a vala project with the proper config, make and other files? Something that creates the src folder, puts in a main.vala etc. Or are there sample template starter projects? Thanks __
