I've been trying to get HotSync working on my XP Guest inside my XP
host. I can get the Palm handheld to show up in the Device Manager, but
nothing happens when I do a HotSync. The forums don't seem to offer any
enlightenment for this setup.
Does anyone know how to get this to work? Should t

My WIN2003 Server's video went completely black after trying to
downgrade. My XP machine didn't have a problem. Luckily I hav
Hi Josh,
If you like I can send you those scripts which
enable host networking in a linux host/guest.
Since I had already sent them to the list at least
twice already, I am loath to spam the list with
those scripts again.
So, with your permission, I can send them directly
to your email address.

Be sure that you install the guest add-on in
your guest OS'es first.
After you do that, NAT networking works just
fine. If you want to use anything Host Interface
or Bridged Network, then you really have to know
networking well AND read the docs.
I have both fc7 and winXP hosts running 1.6.
On fc7
I confirm the graphics driver behavior you describe.
I also confirm the slow I/O of shared folders.

Seems I got burned despite my mantra of never trusting a version with a
version number starting or ending with zero. :-/ I even thought of
that mantra
Hi - posted something to the forums last week but no answers there.
It looks like there are some host networking issues with 1.6, but I
am having trouble with even simple NAT networking. I've upgraded
from 1.5.6 to 1.6.0 on three different computers, all 3 have OpenSuSE
10.3 as the host and Window

It seems the 1.6.0 release is not on par with the quality of previous
releases.

This could be helpful, not sure why, but I put up 1.6, my winxp worked, some
time later, I would get that same immediate crash. I made no change to the
winxp environment -- nothing between runs. I tried a few things, then went
back to 1.5x, which isn't suppose to be possible? And it came up fine
