As has already been suggested, you need to enable ip forwarding. Also,
forget that your router

Any suggestions?
(What I really want is the no-problem configuration
that VMWare has -- just click Bridged Network, assign
a static IP address in the guest OS, and it simply works.)

Hello,
if I log in on my guest OS W2k as a normal user, I can't see any of my shares

If I log in
no desktop interaction.
Is the method you suggest (via the registry) actually tested by you or
a suggestion? If you actually use this method, does the Virtual
Machine presents its own display even if no one is logged in, or does
it wait for somebody to log?
Thank you

Hi Glen,
this error happens only on the guest, right?
Could you post all your guest's registry values from
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VBoxSF here?
That would help to investigate the problem. Thanks!

Subject: [vbox-users] PCLOS 2007 guest mouse problem
I have installed PCLinuxOS 2007 as a guest on a Mepis 6.5 host, Vbox
1.3.8.
All was well, until I installed VirtualBox guest additions. Now, the
mouse doesn't work properly
I did the online upgrade from Kubuntu 6.10 (Edgy Elf) to Kubuntu 7.04
(feisty fawn). Should I upgrade to VirtualBox 1.3.8 for 7.04 or is the
version for 6.10 still okay to use?

Running Win2000Pro as guest, guest additions icon is displayed in task
bar with version listed. Any way to check version when running Linux
Distros? Also, is there a way to uninstall guest additions?
