Is there need for smartdrv ?
I would thought caching is covered by the host.
But I can be wrong.

For CPU HLT idling in Win98 one can also use
great Win9x task manager ATM ( Another Ttask Manager )
I used tu run version 2.2 (freeware) and 3 (shareware, seems abandoned )
I has very tiny size dozens of kBs,
and also many very advanced features I miss in Process Explorer.
not sure if version 2
Hello,
I have reported this bug as http://www.virtualbox.org/ticket/2602
where the full text is presented. But I need an experienced user advice:
When loading saved state of W2K VM, the screen gets suddenly black
and Vista OS reboots immediately without warning.
When run VBox again, it shows W2
when installing Vbox204-64b in Vista64 Premium SP1,
I was forced to install it in 32b program files (x86)
in spite of manual setting path to program files.
According to process explorer all running VBox processes
are 64bit.
Why that behavior ? 32bit installer ?

Problem solved. It was as you have said.
Resolution was reduced to keep all guest desktop within window.
when switched to full screen, it has full 1024/768.
thanks, I could have this idea, but I have not :-)

No, or better I thought I did, but not correctly.
Not I have VBox graphic adapter set,
but only 800*600/32 resolution is available here.
I cannot set 1024*768, as I have set
on my 2nd guest Mandriva Linux 2008.

Hi,
how should I setup graphics in guest W2k
on Vista64/Vbox64-2.x host?
My host has Integrated Intel GMA 3100 Graphics.
W2k seems like to did not recognize any card, using generic VGA.
