No. The disk contents are not migrated, so if you'd do this you'd probably

I gave it 512 MB but somehow when I checked with free -m, it took
more than 1 GB.
Is this suppose to happen or it is a bug?

i needed to test copying from ntfs partition with datas on it. And somebody
told me that cp command can skip bad black with the help of output
redirection. I could simply use ddrescue but the end-user isn't to keen on
remounting/dumping it on a new 1 TB disk.

Last time I could not successfully get host to communicate to guest without
the host interface actually up.
Somehow I got it works by using VMWare's interface. How do I make one
without actually installing VMware product?

Is there any special step I need to do get mounted on guest OS besides
adding filter? That only doesn't seem to work. When I cannot mount USB, I
cannot test a NMS program that can send SMS notification.
