Hi !

I run virtualbox 2.2.4 on a debian lenny 64bit system on a Atom 330 machine
with 2GB of RAM.

I installed debian lenny as guest, for whatever reason (cant remember the
error) i could not install 64bit guest so went with 32bit. Guest Additions
are installed.

Now whenever the guest is heavily working it seems to stall for prolonged
periods of time, like 10 min or up to 2 hrs.

I have made a small script : while 1 do date >>file;sleep 10; done

This is the output for one of the unresponsive time periods:

> Mit Jun 17 22:25:48 CEST 2009
> Mit Jun 17 22:25:58 CEST 2009
> Mit Jun 17 22:26:08 CEST 2009
> Mit Jun 17 22:39:25 CEST 2009
> Mit Jun 17 22:39:35 CEST 2009
> Mit Jun 17 22:39:45 CEST 2009

The guest does not notice that it was stalled, it just goes haywire because
the time has jumped. The virtualbox consumes 100% CPU of one core of the host
in that time.

I tried with ide and sata hdd controller, that didnt help.
I am really looking for help, i dont want to go vmware...

Thanks,
Karl
