Dear Ken:
This convenience feature is what I have been hoping for for a long
time... Glad to hear it's coming...

Hi :
I compile vpopmail 4.6.9-1 with openldap 1.2.9 with no error messages
.
I edit the vldap.h the same with my /etc/openldap/slapd.conf setting before
compile them and I see some "entry" for vldap in vldap.h ( i think it's for ldap
usage) .
When i use command line to add a vir
Hrm. I have no idea how or why that got named with
a .dat extension but it wasn't supposed to be. Shrug.

So it's basically just the converse of vpassgen,
with an added directory checking test and another line to echo the output to
stdout or a file so you can go back through and check that everything got put in
the right places. It might be a good idea to comment out the actual cp line and

Has anyone patched sqwebmail to allow user's to create their own
forwards?
If not, I will probably end up taking a swing at it... as it is
something we need. If anyone has any pointers to get me started, that
would be appretiated.
Thanks for the great software,
Brendan

on a freebsd 4.2-stable system after installing vpopmail i was unable to
sucessfully change the location of ~vpopmail dir.
My first attempt was to
vipw --> change home dir for vpopmail
then
/usr/ports/mail/vpopmail/work/vpopmail-4.9.4/configure
make
make install-strip
This seemed to work, movin

when you
crontab -e
to create the job that clears the opensmtp's for roaming users, which user
should you be under? root?
or would it be better to give the vpopmail user a temporary shell to set
this up and then remove it?
could the vpopmail user account run that job without a shell?
does it

The new developement version is available.
It has passed alpha testing and moving into beta testing.
Carefully read over the http://www.inter7.com/vpopmail-ChangeLog file
and the RELEASE.NOTES file in the tar ball.
Please post results of testing, etc to the [EMAIL PROTECTED] mailing

This is fixed with new features of vpopmail-4.9.7 and qmailadmin-0.40.
I'm not sure yet how to add it to sqwebmail and courier-imap.
Basicly, when vpopmail is configured it will create two new files
in the ~vpopmail/etc directory. inc_deps and lib_deps.
For example:
[root@orbital vpopmail-4.9.
Right on Bill,
I just recently went through this same exact scenario.

Ken,
Great stuff you're doing... God himself couldn't write code
that would meet with the approval of the pre-pubescents that live
in IRC. You must have *wanted* a beating if you went in there
looking for approval. ;)
Did any of them offer to show you "proper code"?
No? oh that's right

Hi,
I have patched Cistron 1.6.4 to work with vpopmail 4.9.6-1's virtual
password system. The included patches are for cistron and vpopmail (fixes 2
minor bugs in vpopmail and will probably be fixed in later versions. I have
included the diffs that I sent to Ken). A readme is included.

Hi,
A feature missing from qmailadmin is the ability
to set the "catch all" box to an alias or forward
rather than just the pop accounts. Many customers
want their catch all to go to an external account
like aol.
Thanks,
Brian
Hi, ive been running vpopmail for a while now, but have just noticed
something a bit odd.
I edited one of the .qmail-user files and added another email address below
the maildir line. Sometimes, (There seems to be no pattern) mail is only
delivered to the other email address and not to the maildi
