Dear all...
I downloaded vpopmail 4.9.7 and installed it on RH 7.0 with all patch
applied (new GCC 2.96 and glibc 2.2)
Compilation process went fine. Problem showed up when using qmail-pop3d with
vpopmail. Here's the error message:

Good day all!
I use Qmail 1.03 + Vpopmail 4.9.7 + Mysql authorization. I
have almost 2K users to add. Are there any Perl (C) scripts for adding big
amount of users? Something like ./vaddscript users.dat, where users.dat consists
of username and password:

Please check http://qmail-scanner.sourceforge.net/ or

different antivirus vendors (AVP, F-secure etc.). Qmail-scanner works pretty
fine with my qmail box.

Not sure why it is so late in my experience that I see this or if I'm

Is it possible to create a pop userid with a period in it?
My tests lead me to suspect it is not.

And I make oracle user 'vpopmail/*' for 'inter7' tablespace.

Hi,
1. you have to add the domain to
/var/qmail/control/rcpthosts
2. edit /var/qmail/control/smtproutes to

Thanks for all the quick reponses. I would of prefered that it didn't use
a symbolic link to do it however. Should be a better way.

Have you tried using the ./vaddaliasdomain mail.checkoutislenet.xxx ? that
will solve your problem I think.

The .qmail-default file holds the catch all user info. I would use the
vadddomain -e command to set the catch all user but it is broke and I have
yet to get a response on a fix. So does anyone know the format of this
file so I can setup a domain with one account to catch all of the main for
it?
What you’ll need for this is a lower (higher number) preference MX
record on all domains. I don’t know much as far as documentation, and I only
set this up myself for the first time last night, so I’m only sure this will
work in theory.
Again, make sure the linux box is set as the seco
Hello
At the moment we have a AS/400 with Lotus
Domino mail server, which handels all
mails for our domain. This server goes down every night, so it's impossible
to receive mails and the sender gets an error
message.
Now I setup a linux box with qmail for caching the
incomming mails for a
its permission problem
if you are adding the users from root
better add profile of oracle to root
so you can able to add users
check the sql.log
it give clear picture to you

the only things that i can think of as your problem are:
1. the qmail/users/assign and the corresponding db are non-existant. make sure
that both those files have been created. (see the man pages for qmail-pw2u and
qmail-newu)
2. bad build: try rebuilding, maybe show you ./comfigure options :)

I was terribly let down because I failed compile vpopmail-4.9.6 with

Hi, I am planning to move my production mailserver from sendmail to
qmail+vchkpw, and thus installed sqwebmail today.
However, I was thrilled to see the suid-root sqwebmail binary in my
cgi-bin.
Is this the default installation, or did I do smth wrong?
