How is the password encrypted by vpopmail for virtual users? We need to
authenticate users in vpopmail cdb database using java api but the password
returned is encrypted. Enabling clear passwords in vpopmail wouldn't be the
right solution.

I'm using vpopmail 5.0, and configured it as follows:
--enable-tcpserver-file=/usr/local/vpopmail/etc/tcp.smtp
--enable-roaming-users=y --enable-logging=v
This was an upgrade from 4.10.18.
Now correct me if I' wrong but,
vpopmail's config looks for tcp.smtp files in a file
places, like /etc
I'd suggest removing any tcp.smtp file you have on the system
except for the one in ~vpopmail/etc
Then configure again without the --enable-tcpserver-file option

Last I checked, Frontpage still installed it's own version of apache,
which likely doesn't have some of the things necessary for vqadmin to
work. You probably shouldn't run a webserver on the same machine as
your mail server anyway, really.

You don't have to. I always patch apache manaully so I can still compile
it the way I want.

I have tryed telling outlook it must log on with [EMAIL PROTECTED]
and password, but gets the error the reciver of mail is not in relaylist.

If you mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] (the main domain), and the mailbox is
over its quota, I get a bounced message. But if you mail

This is in fact my IP, so it is added to this file. I still can not
relay. Getting mail by means of pop is working fine. It's using the
server to relay for sending mail that is the problem.
