Could you please paste an example of one of those passwords i
Depending on your needs you'd better consider twice a raid file
system... If it's a single server, stick with reiserFS, it's been
working for almost 3 years flawlessly in my systems

Hi:
We're using RH8.0 and the ext3 journalling filesystem with vpopmail. We
have been getting filesystem errors (lost inodes) and are wondering whether
ext3 is appropriate for qmail/vpopmail and what the best filesystem might
be for this application. Is anyone using RAID with qmail/vpopmail?

Here is my setup:
I have qmail + vpopmail 5.3.30+ mysql setup.
I have 5 servers for this mail cluster.
mx for internet ( no relay)
smtp for customers ( relay for customers)
pop3 for customers
mysql server box
nas NFS storage device
I have /home/vpopmail/domains
I found a workaround for this. I disable the MD5 password encryption at
vpopmail (configure --enable-md5-password=n), thus it uses linux crypt
encryption which is recodnized by squid.

If I recall correctly, you need to do something special to courier to

I have the same problem with vpopmail encrypted passwords.
Vpopmail works fine... But passwords generated by vpopmail are not
recognized by any other tool.
I'm checking the code, but if someone has an idea of what's happening...
(vpopmail 5.4.0.rc1)
Thanks.

I my case we are currently using vpopmail+mysql+vqadmin, and have a tool
written in PHP to manage the user information running on another server.
How can I make this tool communicate to the remote vpopmail server and

Hi folks,
My problem is always the same. My steps:
vpopmail-5.4.0-rc1
./configure --enable-tcpserver-file=/home/vpopmail/etc/tcp.smtp
--enable-qmail-ext --enable-defaultquota=NOQUOTA
make
cp vchkpw /home/vpopmail/bin/vchkpw-no-roaming
make clean
./configure --enable-tcpserver-file=/home/vpopmail/
>What were your configure options?
./configure --enable-rebuild-tcpserver-file=n --enable-roaming-users=y
--enable-defaultquota=20971520S --enable-auth-module=mysql
--enable-file-sync=n --enable-mysql-logging=y --enable-learn-passwords=y
--enable-clear-passwd=y --enable-valias=y --enable-mysql-l

Yes, Please let us know the result !
I tried that on my server (vpopmail-5.4-RC1) and it appeared to work OK
If there is a bug, I would be keen to fix it before 5.4 is marked stable.
