I had this problem recently, it was due to the fact
that I had used --enable-tcpserver-file=~vpopmail/etc/tcp.smtp
on the configure script instead of the hard coded
full path. Rebuild it with the full path and see if
that helps.

Hi all,
I'm going to be attempting a move from one
server to another and they have different directory
structures both to the vpopmail directory and
within vpopmail.
The old server runs an older version of vpopmail
under /export/home/vpopmail, the new server will
just be /home/vpopmail. T
I just built and installed vpopmail 5.0, upgrading
from 4.9.10, it seemed to go fine. I used the following
configure options:
./configure \
--enable-hardquota=3 \
--enable-ip-alias-domains=n \
--enable-ldap=n \
--enable-logging=y \
--enable-log-name=vpopmail \
--enable-mysql=n \
--enable
Didn't see this on the list, but thought it would
be important to have shown here. Let the sysadmins
lock things down a little bit if necessary.

Hi all,
I recently upgraded to Courier IMAP 1.3.8.2,
unfortunately I don't know what my previous version
was as I deleted it after I made sure mail was
working, I'm kind of thinking it was 1.3.2. But
anyway, I didn't touch vpopmail, it's version 4.9.10,

Hi everyone,
I'm just curious what the status of vqsignup is?
Is it production quality? The primary link for
downloading it is broken but the alternate download
site still works. I'm not sure if that's a good
thing or not. :-)
Thanks,
Dave
FYI, the web page link says 0.44, points to 0.45, and the
change log stops at 0.43, what version is correct?
Thanks,
Dave

Hi all,
could someone verify how to move a domain which

Hi Pierre,
you should definitely switch to rblsmtpd instead of
using the tcp.smtpd file. The reason is that the tcp.smtpd
file will completely block their attempted connection, so
their mail server will consider your server down and keep
retrying for as long as necessary which means lots

Hi all,
sqwebmail doesn't seem to log anywhere that people

that vchkpw was doing the authentication, is this not
correct?
