Any ideas how I go about this?

This is mainly because different accounts on the same domain have

Any ideas?

Rudi,
Here is the base way of doing it without any data.
mysqldump -d DATABASENAME > backup-file.sql
You can read this back into MySQL with:
mysql DATABASENAME < backup-file.sql
Check here for more options for mysqldump:

By "it working with vpopmail" are you saying it automatically can

would the client have to put their full email address like the POP login?
Possibly with a % sign on some clients?

That means a service is already running on that port. You don't specify

I have a fuzzy idea how to do this, but my tinkering hasnt worked. I need to
trick qmail/vpopmail into thinking that a local domain is acttually remote.
I tried using smtproutes, but either I did it wrong or it didnt work. What I

I think that closest is what I want to do. Basically i want to have the

IMP does not access the mailboxes directly. It uses either an IMAP or POP
server. We have IMP running on our web server and Courier-IMAP running on
our mail server acessing our vpopmail accounts. Everything works fine. IMP
does not know or care about the authentication method used.

Isn't IMP webmail? If so, maybe you could try sqwebmail. And I believe you
could at least figure out a way to get IMP to auth with vchkpw.
