Thanks a ton for the help. Had to use:
PURGE MASTER LOGS TO 'tftp-bin.007';
System didn't like the BEFORE syntax even when using a static date, but your
reply gave me some direction and this worked just as well for me.

Run this and see if some go away:
/usr/local/bin/mysql -uroot -p -e"PURGE MASTER LOGS BEFORE
DATE_SUB( NOW( ), INTERVAL 10 day);"
