I just installed vpopmail and when ever I download mail with getmail. I get an error message: Error: /home/vpopmail/domains/DOMAIN/USERNAME/Maildir" does not exist. However it clearly does. Right now I have getmail delivering to /home/USERNAME/Maildir with no problems. I still would like to fix this problem and use vpopmail the way it was intended. It appears to be a format problem. Qmail's creation of Maildir works just fine and begs the question: How does vpopmail create this directory? Does it create the format or does it recreate based on Qmail? I guess the bottom line is this: Is vpopmail setting up Maildir wrong or do I have something setup wrong in vpopmail or Qmail?
