yes, but it is addressing the repository with a fqdn. a conary repository can be run by anyone anywhere. rmake itself also runs a local repository to manage the packages it builds. (and conary can be configured to access that too. it's a neat shortcut to analyze rmake results without needing writeout a changeset or commit te results to the public repository) > I'm a huge fan of conary but I don't like the fact that rBuilder is > proprietary software. that's exactly the main point of my reply. the conary repository is just a part of rBuilder. it just so happens that up to now the conary repository that is integrated into rBuilder is the only one currently available for public use. but the code for the repository is available under the CPL and you can run your own if you like. you just won't get the rBuilder webinterface with it (which is not a problem for package developers because the commandline tools can do everything and more anyways) greetings, martin. -- cooperative communication with sTeam - caudium, pike, roxen and unix offering: programming, training and administration - anywhere in the world -- pike programmer working in china community.gotpike.org unix system- iaeste.(tuwien.ac|or).at open-steam.org administrator caudium.org is.schon.org Martin Bähr http://www.iaeste.or.at/~mbaehr/ _______________________________________________ vcs-pkg-discuss mailing list vcs-pkg-discuss@lists.alioth.debian.org http://lists.alioth.debian.org/mailman/listinfo/vcs-pkg-discuss
