Please add to readme or anywhere that mysql DB should be created as
UTF8, --utf8 option is not enough to enable utf support for XXV, and this
is non obvious for non experienced users.
In any case, thanks that XXV finally supports utf8!

well it wasn't obvious for me, but when I pressed the left button on the
date to before today, it showed a MTWTFSS, and pressing left again changed
to --S (Sunday)

Yesterday on a standard satellite channel (TVEi) I recorded about 2 hours and
found 10 files x 2 gigs each recordings, thats about 20 gigs.
I know that on a dreambox the same 2 hours of recording takes no more than 5
gigs and the files are

I left VDR overnigh and this morning there was a black screen, the remote
didn´t help and I had to go and plug a mouse and move it to exit the blac
k
screen.
How can I prevent this happening? I have removed all packages I could see
related to screen savers. Running ubuntu 8.10
