Hi
I use the hvr4000 card + multiproto_plus + hvr4000 patch from Gregoire Favre
http://linuxtv.org/pipermail/vdr/2008-May/016713.html
+ vdr 1.7.0
The hvr4000 card works well with vdr 1.7.0
But sometimes I have this error -

Using some cvs revisons back works fine.
I use VDR 1.7.0 + Reinahrds patch.

I think the xine locked the videocard and due to this MPlayer can't lock it.
Is it possible to solve this issue ?

I don't know if this is applicable for your setup, but did you try
vdr-plugin-xineliboutput instead of vdr-plugin-xine?
It is at least 3 things in one:
- Client/Server architecture: splits VDR (server) and displaying software
- Media Player integrated (via OSD)
- X11 (XV or others)
Your card/driver only has one Xvideo port. Some ATI card maybe?
yes ATI Radeon 9600
How is it possible to know how many xvideo ports has my card/driver ?
Possible solutions:
a) Fix xine/vdr-xine to completely release video output (xvideo port)

I give up for now, maybe the solution is to convert pes to ts and try to
play/convert it as I do with my sat receiver
When I try to mplayer the same vdr recording (ie 001.vdr) it find no video
track. I can only see them with xine from vdr or from command line

I attach a new patch that will scan both DVB-S and DVB-S2 channels.
If anybody tries it please post back.
Unfortunately I and other vdr-user couldn't lock the dvb-s2 channels with this
patch.
there's new warning during of compilation

No, the channels I mention are found by reelchannelscan. Are you sure
the other transponders have contents?
I suppose so - these transponders have content now
Because, neither my box receiver
can get anything there.. But, I can not see Eurosport HD in my
directory and from there run
make plugins.
If you want to clean up before compile do:
make clean; make clean-plugins;
then
make;make plugins to compile everything.
Thanks

I followed a german tutorial on how to install VDR with xine. It had
some patches for better h.264 playback, but when I tune to BBC HD, it's
still painfully slow, and the image is quite bad, too!
Try to cheat decoding in ~/.xine/config:
yes , and this link can help you, too

For h.264, might want to check this out:

it seems to me that dshowserver patch for coreavc doesn't work on vdr, you can
use the 4 patches from here

I dont know what the problem is. From your error message I can only
guess that you haven't applied my patch at all. If this is the case try
applying my patch (without reel's patch from
/usr/src/VDR/PLUGINS/src/channelscan-0.6.1/patches) and post back.

conversion.
VDR will still record separate programmes, though. It won't record the
entire TS.
is a lot of vdr-code need patch for this ?
when will you plan to release next vdr 1.7.* version with new ts features ?

I'm trying to install VDR on my linuxmce machine. There's a catch,
though: I can only use the regular multiproto drivers from a few weeks
