I think what it's turned out to be was a problem in my channels.conf.
There was a bug

I confirm it work nice , it read the EPG data from any "freesat" transpondeur
you are and feed epg data transparently , usually watching ITV or BBC feed it

VDR doesn't seem to be able to get the EIT data for the Yesterday
channel. The code I've written for boxstar can grab it OK, so I don't
think there's anything special about the channel. Does VD
