Hi,
oVirt, and more specifically VDSM, is currently implementing the live
snapshot feature using the API/commands provided by libvirt and qemu.
It would be great if you could review the design and the current open
issues at:

Thank you,

Hi there,
Why does not vdsm use snapshot APIs of libvirt, or qemu-img snapshot -c ?

The snapshot APIs are a fairly recent addition to libvirt, whose design was
in fact influenced strongly by VDSM's requirements. IIUC, the intent
towards today meeting, listed are the problematic bugs from QE
perspective, most in new state, several are blockers and the rest needs
to be discussed and fixed with high priority for next version, filtered

snapshot might have multiple images base on the in the case of template and
preview mode.
We also plan to remove preview mode and make it that every snapshot can have
multiple images base on it.
This design can only be possible when using different qcow2 files.
