Oracle DBA Location: Chattanooga, TN Length: 1 year contract with possibility of extension Rate: 40$/hr C2C *Oracle DBA Responsibilities:* - Database creation, patching, upgrades, security management, backups, restores/refreshes, schema changes, tablespace management, database tuning, disaster recovery and general database maintenance. - Administration of other databases such as SQL server, MySQL, or PostgreSQL. - Work with development and functional teams to resolve problems and deploy system enhancements. - Leverage advanced knowledge in multiple technologies; collaborate with peers to analyze performance of database components and systems to troubleshoot, evaluate performance, and determine capacity. - Use root cause analysis, corrective actions, tactical planning and strategic planning to correct problems, provide improved response and project long term investments required to provide sufficient support for it services to the business. - Maintain the database environment to assure compliance with configurations, patches, approved designs and sox controls. - Participate with peers as needed to properly support the it database infrastructure on a 24x7 basis including on-call duties, shift work, and emergency support can be required including travel to various locations away from the employee’s primary work site. - Create and restore RMAN backups to refresh and recover oracle databases. *Oracle DBA Requirements:* - A Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, business administration, or related field of study; or equivalent education, training experience. - Experience with Oracle RAC, ASM, Partitioning, Streams and DataGuard, Azure, and MongoDB - General understanding of business environment (i.e. budgeting, life-cycle costing, customer support). - Comprehensive experience in supporting the operation of large production database systems. - Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. *Udit | Technical Recruiter | Saxon Global* 1320 Greenway Dr, Ste 660 Irving TX-75038 United States *Office:* 972-338-3583 extn- 361 udi...@saxonglobal.com | www.saxonglobal.com [image: Logo1] *Custom Application Solutions* *I** Mobile Solutions** I** DW/Business Intelligence* *I* *Cloud Solutions** I** Contingent Workforce** I** Learning Solutions* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Vendors" group.
