Guys
have a problem and
wanted to clarify something with you..
One of our Win2k3
(SP1) Clusters was having poor backup performance (ie taking 2 1/2 days)
and causing the Cluster Servers to die due to lack of
resource.
Problem faced -
running backups would take days and

Well back in the 3.4 days I had to do this.. From memory I done roughly
the following AFTER I don't a complete FULL CATALOGUE Backup of the Server
and had a Full Backup of the Media Server root drive
1) Media for this decommissioned Media Server to be related to the Netbackup
Server
2) Ens

If you cannot see the client computer from the Server, then Netbackup will
not see it (I am assuming you tried it by name and IP as well)??
Are the laptops DHCP? Any changes to Network configuration by chance?

Does anyone know of any problems using the Veritas Remote Console Admin utility that comes on the Installation CD
When installing this on Desktops?
We have 5.1(mp2) on a 2003 Server, it is also our media server using a new Overland Neo Ultrium Robot.
