I second that notion. Stop writing backups to the 2-month pool now. After 2 months, all the backups will have expired and the media will all have been deassigned. At that point, all the media can all be moved into the 1-year pool. Either duplicate your backup or create a fresh one. -Neil --

Murtuja, The template stays on the master, you don't need it on the client. Put in the path of the template on the master. This is probably causing the 6 error. You should also be able to set it up so that RMAN talks via the Netbackup plugin and writes the logs direct to tape. You then won't see
