It could also be that the backups work when requested from in to out, which
may not require open ports/ACLs (at least in a PIX world). But the reverse,
I would expect to see issues. Do you have logs available from the firewall?
That might tell you if you're bumping up against a closed door.
I forgot to include the config params
number_data_buffers 60
number_data_buffers_disk 60
size_data_buffers 524288
size_data_buffers 1048576

ok at around 29mb/s
Dont ask about why we havent upgraded the media servers. When you work
in a large company the way
Does anyone know what this error means:

Hello,
we have a problem when we try to make client-oriented archive with -L
progress log option when master is behind the firewall
bparchive -L ... -p ... ...
Archive job hangs in Queued status. In bprd log we can see:
13:32:27.698 [20028] 16 bkarfiles: Unable to write progress log
From my bptm logs (using the term copy 2 for destaging processes). I only
do performance type queries on streams larger than 1GB.
sizespeed
2,064,416 Kbytes at 156,859Kbytes/sec
2,846,944 Kbytes at 141,879
Have you tried the bpexpdate command?
