I think what he means is that if he uses in-line copies, he loses one tape
drive per in-line copy which due to the small backup windows would be a
problem. I would seriously look into Storage Lifecycle Policies, because then
you can configure a policy to do a backup at 8PM and then instruct the
Bump...

Win2k3 Master - 36 Media Servers Win2k3 and approx 300+ LAN based

Our environment HP-UX 11.31 a SureStore 20/700 library with 10 LTO1
drives, NetBackup 6.5.2 Master / Media server and one Windows Media
server using SSO. The Windows Media server and SSO are new and so far
everything is working as planned. We may be adding another Linux Media
server using SSO.
We've been using Flashbackup for Windows on MSCS for years with Netbackup
support (trust me- I spent hours on the phone with them at first). It's got
some quirks, but it does work.
