Thanks for your interest in our issue...
- When you say that all your backup data resides on 2 Data
Domain storage devices, I assume you mean just the backup media , tape
or disk pool, and not the disk unit holding the restored data?

I guess he did say it is showing up on the GUI didn't he.
I usually use the wizard to add devices/storageunits now. I used to have issues
with the wizard and added them manually, but not anymore.

It sounds like the master does not know about the media server. On the master
go to admincmd directory and run nbemmcmd -listhosts. If your media server is
not listed, run nbemmcmd -addhost to add it. These entries are required when
you run add a host (-machinename, -machinetype, -masterserver,

random files and directories. Re-running
Weird, I tried to create a storage unit but the server did not show up as a

Add the server to the tape drives and create storge units.
In netbackup add the drives for that server ( or if SSO add that server
to the drives).

I have two media servers (one media server is also my master server). The
second media server (Solaris 10, NBU 6.5) is seeing all the tape drives when I
run sgscan or the device config. wizard in the NBU console. However, when I go
to devices -> media servers-> it shows up as Active for
