Hi, We have 2 Windows servers which will be installed and configured with Netbackup V7. The plan is to use one of the servers as a 'hot' standby machine and only use if/when the primary server fails for any reason. There is no budget for full clustering which would be ideal so I was wondering

This sounds like something I done before! Providing this standby Server has "same name" and "same IP" and configured with the same OS and Same NetBackup version, then its simply a case of doing a restore of the Hot Catalog Backup! Obviously the 2 servers cannot be on the network at the same time,

We are doing snap backup from the CCR Secondary copy with good performance. What does take a little time (Not much, but we do see it) is the exchange consistency checks and log replay on the snapshot. We have a similar amount of data to you. What disk subsystem do you have for the exchange data
