I've tried the same things as Chris, when the clients are 1gb and the
media servers are 10gb, windows servers do seem to error with 24 quite often
whereas other clients (Linux) remain unaffected.

For me, the only thing that changed was the media server 1gb -> 10gb.
Did not have errors similar those in your first URL and do not use LACP
for the master in second URL.

We made a couple of changes to our environment.
We upgraded our Master and Media servers to 7.0.1
Added in several new servers, all dual Quad core procs with 48gb of RAM, all
Linux RH ES 5.x
All of the new Media servers are connected to our 10gb network with Cisco Nexus

Sorry I was using these as a reference. If you've exhausted your
troubleshooting keep working with support. The reference was to show defects,
configuration parameters and network issues have resolved 24's.

I am having an unexpected issue with disk space on one of my client machines
and haven’t been able to get the 6.5 to 6.5.6 update completed. Until I get it
resolved, I would like to roll the master/media server back to 6.5, from 6.5.6.
What are the steps to do this? I am running Windows Serve

As usual I left out two salient facts. L This situation only occurs on 5 of
31 servers. 4 of them are Solaris and one is Windows. The other 27 are a
mixture of the two. And they are behind a firewall, as are some of the ones

Bpclntcmd -pn on one of the servers we are working with returns no output.
Also I cannot ping, telnet or ssh to it, however when I as the DBA for
output from the various commands he is able to send them.

Use "svcs | grep bp" for the Solaris 10 box. Then "man svcadm" for other
handy if non-intuitive info.

Why would you need
We try use 262144 on the master/media. We often set the client buffer as well
to 256KB comm buffer. Definitely a windows client related issue.

I am curious if anybody has seen significant client backup slowdowns after
this upgrade (or one similar). My master is AIX 6.1 TL5. The slowdown is
