Yes but if you're doing multiple policies on the same host chances are the exclusion lists are more relevant to each policy than global. For example here we typically have policies such as: SERVERNAME-OS = Operating System files (e.g. root, /etc, /var, /usr ...) SERVERNAME-INST-DB = Oracle Data

Hi, I have a client which has 7 local drives all of which backup except 1. It gets to a point where it allocates a tape drive, estimates how much is required to be backed up and then sits on a status of writing with 0 written. It will sit there for hours and never actually back anything up. Has

On the host you are backing up, have a look in this registry key: HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\BackupRestore\FilesNotToBackup See if your dns file/folder is in there... Netbackup will obey the listed exclusions in that registry key as well as its own exclusion list... Cheers, Nic From: verita
