I am trying to implement the following
Configuring an offhost backup of Exchange via the snapshot
option of advanced client using VSS from windows. We have a HDS 9585V SAN
storage and are using Shadow Image for Snapshots. The vssadmin command from
windows shows as RM shadow co
logical hostname for
the client parameter my backup job fails with above error, however if I specify
physical hostname the backup runs through successfully
Has anyone come across this situation before.

I have a situation where an LTO II tape drive has been
defined as drives of type DLT2 (instead of hcart II) and the system was being
used and all the LTO II tapes are identified as DLTII tapes.
Now during a migration / upgrade to a new tape libraray with
LTO III drives I will

Theoretically its possible to read and write LTOII media in
LTO III drives. My question is that weather media defined as hcartII can be
read/write in hcartIII drives ?
If I have a library with mix LTO II and LTO III drives and
media for both types available, what is the best

I am using nbu 6.x. The nbu
command guide does not mention the argument “changeden” is not available
for the command bpmedia.

HI Guys !
I have replaced L100 with L500 tape library on a veritas netbackup 6.0
environment.
Now I hv configured new L500 and when I am adding old media ( used with L100
with valid backups) its not allowing me to do, saying duplicate media and
error 37.
Any suggestions
