Now I have found this huge box filled with tapes but have NO IDEA whats on
them. most are marked for infinity retention but I have no clue if it is actual
data that needs to be kept forever or if its something that was marked infin

carry it anyway.
So i can uninstall netbackup and then reinstall it on both libraries.. set the
new one as master upon reinstallation (obviously) but i can save and reload all
the information from netbackup to the new

names... or do i just change bk1 to bk2 and bk2 to bk1?

So a major client needs information from an expired tape.
I imported the tape with phase 1, but then when I try to do phase 2 of import i
get an error "tar did not find all the files to restore"
looking online the only suggestions I got were "this must span more than one
tape" i checked, and no t
I am fairly sure, I have followed other doccumentation that asks me to verify
it dosent span multople tapes.
It is a small file and a daily cumalative incremental backup.

i am starting to dobut myself, but i determined it only spanned one tape
because I looked in log files and see tape 500057 as what it wrote to.
then i had to import 500057 and phase one finishes and I got happy, but as soon
as i start phase 2 and select the image, i get the error.

I think you can go into "storage units" and create new . Call it something like
POLARIS
then make another new storage unit and you can call it VEGA
you can also set the number of drives it will use. so set for example to 2 so

work fine. It seems that it is supported (they're rather old, but see

mismatch in the sizes reported by the job details and bpcatlist. In the
job details I see:
