Question,
Normally when you dedicate a drive(s) to a NDMP host that host can only
use one tape drive per host and cannot multiplex data streams. If you
chose not to dedicate any tape drives to the NDMP host and chose to use
the remote NDMP backup method, can a single host use multiple tape

You can do that or use the robtest utility. This usually takes the
control of the robot away from NetBackup. The drives should go into AVR
mode.

No, it does not matter which format the data was written. You cannot mix
IBM TSM tapes into NetBackup (Backup Exec) environment.
